Hehe,ditto,I'll be ready to play the day I get it^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^ preordered mine from Software Etc. months ago^_^Near now,finally,heh.I like D&D bards alot,my BG2 bard was awesome,and the 3rd Edition ones're even better,can't wait to try it out^_^

hmm, too much info Jae, anyways, what is the max number of players someone who hosts a NWN's game can have? Diablo 2 had a limit of like 8 or so.

I'm pretty psyched!

So can you create a game as a DM, then play it with others? Or does there have to be an active DM at all times?

One of the problems with DM's is finding good ones that want to be DM forever

It's cool you can DM a few way.
They make it so you can script every npc/enemy in the game.
So, if I wanted to, I could build my own world with dungeons. Type in all the text that all the npcs in town would say, and all the enemies in all the dungeons I create. Then have all of you join my server and I can run through it with you!
OR
I can have all that, then to top it off, I would be in control of it, and you can do ANYTHING on the fly. So I can take over a goblin out of a horde of npcs attacking you, I can fight you guys through him, talk to you through him, etc!
If you guys are blowing through my dungeon too quickly, I can decide to drop down a couple of extra evil traps, or add some daemons!
THEN
to make it even COOLER.
Lets say I do build a whole town/land with some dungeons, and keep it on a server running, I can then link it to ANOTHER persons town/land!
So it will basically run like EQ. You guys would be in one land, then see the portal to my world, jump in, zone and then yer in mine.
Basically you can build EQ, but have different people controlling different zones!
Only problem is there really isn't a way to stop cheating. People can edit their characters all the like, etc. Not much different than the old PnP game i guess.
But what I myself can do to stop it is put restrictions on what goes into my world. So people that have all godlike equipment etc, will have to leave it at the door.
I hope to have a full PvP type land since 64 people can join in. I would love to DM a game where 2 parties were in the same world, then they come across each other in a dungeon somewhere.

Ok someone help me out... I know the game has single player mode, which is important to me right now with no internet

So can I play single player, and then use my same character online? Do you start new characters each online game? Im confused..

Nope you can use your character from your single player game!
Basically you can create a godlike character and play him multiplayer if you wanted to, but it's all up to the DM.
Some DM's for example might not allow anyone over level 8 to enter their world, so no point in building a godlike character. Things like that.
As for hosting 64 people, well I dunno if it will ever get that high, but think of it like quake. Most they could host was 64. I would play at Midway with 30 people sometimes. And never had any problems.

Haha, dont mind me. I'm just making notes of all the websites that look like good RP people will be running and making campaigns/servers from.
So when done with the game that ships with the game, I'll have some other places to look for good worlds.
