Bailys Fish Camp Road 9-14-03


Got a late start today.My Dad, Brother, and myself set out to Bridge City for some bank fishing at the Bailys Fish Camp Road. Shrimp were out once again, I mean everywhere. Started out catching some dink specks and moved on down the canal and made our way to the bridge. First thing, BAM, a nice size sheephead. I started feeling good about the day already. Then my brother has something and it is a keeper flounder. Oh yeah. Fish on every few minutes, Specks, rat reds, sheephead, and flounder, lots of throwbacks too. We ended up at the end of the day with 4 specks to 20 inches, 1 red - 25 inches, 2 flounder to 17 inches, and 3 sheephead to 19 inches. We released several large sheephead too, they were everywhere. Great day bank fishing. Got to get out again soon. The fishing is turned on. Man, I have to get my bay boat going. Forgot the camera so all pics taken at home. This is my brothers first keeper red (25 inches) and keeper speck (20 inches). He has caught a lot of bull reds, but no slot. He was proud..
