SeaRim and Pleasure Island 11-12-03


My Dad, Brother, and myself started out at SeaRim State Park on McFaddin beach. We didn't stay long, but had several good runs. Bull reds were in full force today. We landed 2, but had several drops and one cut off. My brother, Casey, Landed a 39" red and I landed a 38" red, both released. Shrimp were really thick in the surf today too. Left there and tried a spot on Pleasure Island with no luck at all. Left there and went to Bailys Fish Camp Road in Bridge City. Caught shrimp at the bridge and in the canal, again, shrimp were everywhere. With that, we played around in the canal. Casey caught 5 dink specks, I caught only one, and boy am I hearing about that now. Not one keeper for the evening. Left and went home empty handed, but couldn't have asked for a better day.
