The Quest
I have been on an incredible pilgrimage of awakening and discovery over the last 5 years and have experienced new understandings to very old sacred stories, words and phrases. But the greatest experience for me has been and still is the expansion of my heart to allow for Christ's Presence to radiate His love to everyone and everything around me.I have been hesitant to share the experiences that I have had over the last 5 years as they would probably considered beyond the consciousness of most of our church members. But Christ has impressed upon me through the Holy Spirit that I must speak and share my experiences as there may be others who need the validation of their own spiritual awakening. When I say Christ, I am not talking about the Christed Jesus, I am talking about my very own Holy Christ-self with whom I have been personally united. Jesus has been with me as well, showing me the way as I have awaken to a higher consciousness of what He was saying when he said "I AM THE WAY"... I am showing you the way to accomplish all that I have accomplished and even more...
Since I have accepted this new level of consciousness, as I shared in my testimony, "Christ in Us", I find myself as His physical vehicle through which "He" operates. God needs a body. In order to accomplish this union, surrender is the key word here. This was a hard lesson for me to learn, but once the whole picture was revealed to me I understood the why. The how is something I have to be conscious of daily. Seeing through Christ-eyes sheds a whole different perspective on everything that goes on in my life and around me. Just incase you have not read my post on unconditional love, it also adds meaning to that which I am sharing with you now.
I am a seeker of TRUTH. I will not be bound or limited by dogma or doctrine any longer. I went through a GNOSIS experience in March of 1998 which removed many veils from my conscious awareness and thrust all my "beliefs" out in front of me for review and acceptance or rejection. It took several months of soul searching and questioning before I was able to understand what had happened and why. I had been out of the fellowship of the church (RLDS) since 1983 when I left feeling spiritually bankrupt. I finally decided to return to the fellowship of the church in the fall of 2000 after reading President McMurray's "Transformation 2000" address to the World Conference. I have been discouraged from time to time with the "slowness of heart and mind" of those within this church, but when this occurs my Holy Christ-self reminds me that everything is perfect just like it is as each individual must awaken by themselves. He reminds me that I AM here to radiate His Love where I AM and He will take care of the rest.
I lift my Christ Light high as a beacon, for those who are discovering experiences that do not fit within the traditional concepts of the church.
